Poem: Red Lady (idfk)

She had red lips that spoke words
that no one but me could hear
She tasted the bittersweet realities of the world
At the tip of her tongue,
and I watched her from the top of my tower,
Dropping strands and strands of hair,
Awaiting her arrival.

I saw only her,
But a blind woman was she,
Looking forward never backwards,
And never at me.
She jumped through the shadows
Without fear or flight,
She wore bravery as her armour.

Anger be the fire
That burns through her soul,
I want to eat her flame.
Through my heart she’s travelled,
We’ve never met.
