Movie Review: Dope (2015)

I really loved this movie a lot. Even though it sugarcoated a good majority of the means of the drug industry, etc etc etc, I really loved how the plot was established and definitely the character development of the main character Malcom. The ideologies that this movie plays around with and touches on were really strong and would definitely be positioned as an eye-opener to some viewers who were not aware of what goes on within these types of businesses. I thought it was nice and the main lead did a great job at portraying this sophisticated and marginalized individual, kind-of separate from the general "standards" and stereotypes of the average black male.
The movie made a great statement on his goal for Harvard, hence the photo quote. I thought it was pretty phenomenal and would recommend others to watch it if you have not already done so. Again it's really sugarcoated but there are a good amount of elements to build up the larger picture (if it makes sense).
